Mighty Men “…wake up the mighty men…” Joel 3:9Mighty Men is the Prayer Ministry of MPIF. It is a ministry with passion and zeal to see men everywhere arise to their full potentials. The ultimate goal of this ministry is to see the Kingdom of our God established and His will be done here on earth as it is done in heaven. For as the Lord lives the whole earth shall be full of His glory. This will happen in our presence and generation as we dig deep and labour to stand as:
Mighty men of valour. Men, who operate in the supernatural, anointed and empowered by the Spirit of God to bring good news to the afflicted, bind up the broken hearted, proclaim liberty to the captives and to open the prison to them that are bound. Who shall announce the year of grace and take care of the need of them that mourn in Zion. Men who shall see dry bones live again.
The Army of the Lord. Men who are strong in the power and might of the Lord. Men mighty in battle and faith. The Lord’s battle-axe and weapons to destroy the works of darkness and subdue all oppositions. They shall execute judgment and vengeance on every defying nation, kingdom and people. The Lord, the Captain of the hosts, shall command this army.
To have Dominion. Men who shall function in all round dominion, they shall stand, as pillars and their voices shall be hard even unto the ends of the earth. In dominion they shall keep the earth, make ways in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. They shall eat the fruit of the earth, live as champions and faithful friends, brothers, fathers, husbands, and sons.
To be a mighty man, you must be a man after God’s heart and of intense prayer. Prayer is rich and treasured beyond all price, it illuminates and beautifies human life and should not be neglected. It is the lack of fervency and addiction to the life of supplication that is responsible for the defeat in Christian ministries. It shall not be so with us, like Charles Haddon Spurgeon rightly advised, we should let our fleece lie on the thrashing floor of supplication till it is wet with the dew of heaven.
To tap into this immeasurable resources and power, we in MPIF are determined to let our mouth flow like the fountain of many waters, for God does nothing but in answer to prayer. To this end, every member of MPIF is by mandate a member of this ministry and must stand strong in this office.
